Happiness is a state of being and It’s not always easy to realise this, but you know when you have it. You smile at the sky and enjoy everything and everybody. It is something you feel with your heart and you don’t need an external factor to feel it. Happiness is something inside of you and we don’t have to look far outside ourselves. A magical potion for happiness doesn’t really exist (except for whiskey), but there are a few methods you can try to bring more happiness into your life. Practice gratitude!
“Light must come from inside. You cannot ask the darkness to leave; you must turn on the light.” – Sogyal Rinpoche. Beautiful quote of guru Rinpoche. If you are feeling happy, your light will shine so bright that other people will notice it too. It’s like positive energy a glow.
Everything you will focus on will grow, so a good thing to work on is to practice your gratitude. What are the things you are most thankful for? Practicing gratitude is one of the easiest ways to feeling more happy. And I don’t mean a lousy thank you for my brand new tv. You really have to feel it in your heart. It’s like you want to say it out loud to the world with a big smile on your face. Practice gratitude and the law of attraction is eager to work for you. Make it a fun task and make little lists for example.
In the now
The only thing you can be certain of is right now and in this very moment you are breathing in or out. You don’t have control over the future and your past is already in the past, so don’t stress over situations you don’t have control over. It’s all about changing your perspective. Do I have a problem right NOW? Yes. Can you fix it now? Then do something about it. People that live more in the moment are more happier, because when they are experiencing something in the now everything is more clear in the mind.
People that are happy don’t really need approval of others. If you really know who you are, negative voices around you can’t have an effect on you. They can judge all they want, but it’s says more about them than the person you truly are. Stay true to yourself and let them fall in love with the opinions they have about you.
Light and dark
In a world that’s full of dualities, light can’t exist without darkness. “Sometimes I’m so positive I can’t handle myself.” (My life quote lol). You can’t always be positive. Sometimes there are days you just don’t feel it. Accept it and know that everything is impermanent. That is the beauty of transforming. It all comes down to balance. Be honest with yourself.
