Sometimes you bump into the most beautiful sanctuary’s and all I can think of is that I want to share it with the world. I’m on a quest to find beautiful spots in South East Asia and in this blog post (and imagination) I “almost” accomplished my life goal: to own a bamboo home.
I always get starry eyes when I see bamboo and my voice get’s a higher pitch like it’s some sort of cute kitty-cat. I just love it and I have a never-ending relationship with it. I really want you to feel the bamboo-loving too, so here is a little-hidden sanctuary in Mae Hong Song I called home for 1.5 hours.
Kublaikhan in Mae Hong Son
Between the mountains of Mae Hong Son in North Thailand there is a place that really captures your eyes if you look good around you. I had to make weird hand gestures and beep the horn to get attention from my travel Buddy Rob who was racing with his scooter. “Rob, Rob look at this! Bamboo.. I love bamboo. We should go there.”
And so we did, because uh yeah it’s bamboo duh. We stepped inside the restaurant and we instantly fell in love. All the details were so exciting for me because it gave me some inspiration for my ‘future’ home. Have a look for yourself:
