No matter how your childhood experiences look like in your memories. We all carry traumatic experiences as children. Inner child work is a vital component in our Soul Journey because we are still carrying our subconscious ‘wounds’ with us. And as adults, we still have to face these old programs on a daily basis.
These old traumas could vary from being abandoned by your best childhood friends or the feeling that you never felt supported by your parents. You would be surprised when you really looked at the core of the symptoms of your pain, insecurities and self-sabotaging patterns.
It all starts with the willingness to look deeper within…
Because the truth is that you can either choose to keep on carrying the heavy emotional baggage of the past or choose to open the bag and look at what needs to be felt and seen. To integrate a new way of being to get in touch with our divine nature is to be able to express the ultimate expression of self-love. Without that kind of self-love and victim mentality, we are never going feel whole and balanced as a person. Because we constantly are being triggered by others pulling our unhealed wounds. No one can heal these parts of you, you have do the inner work.
If we begin an inner dialogue with your wounded inner-child, we are able to let the inner child feel seen and nurtured. This is such a courageous part of your Soul journey.
Tell your inner child that you understand why it feels hurt. You could simply communicate through a letter and start asking questions to your inner child for example. Tell your inner child that you love him/her and you acknowledge the pain points but you are willing to let your light shine on it.
Do a meditation Journey
Before you go into meditation ask yourself when you experienced childhood trauma in your life. Let Spirit guide you through this process. Remember it all starts with setting an intention and to allow yourself to be the observer to witness the thoughts that come and go. If meditation is not really your thing, you might want to work with a visualization journey.
To enter a safe place with this visualization Soul journey meditation your start at a ‘safe place’ first. Let’s say a sacred garden for example where you feel rejuvenated and calm.
- First, you start with focusing on your breathing to get in a comfortable and relaxed space.
- Imagine you are walking up on a staircase.
- You enter your safe space. You walk around. How does this place look like? Feel like?
- You enter another pathway/doorway. This could be whatever is being shown to you.
- Imagine that your younger Self is already standing there.
- Ask your inner child in easy language when it first felt sad or scared. And listen to what your younger Self-has to tell you.
- Give thanks and a big hug and tell them you are so happy you were able to talk.
- Say goodbye and walk up the stairs.
- Return to this physical plane.
Feel the feels
With acknowledging these parts of you. You are acknowledging what needs to be felt and transmuted by you to let new energy enter your life. When you allow all of your feelings to rise to the surface, it becomes more easy to feel more compassion towards yourself. Expressing with the intention to release is so beautiful for your growth.
Make a commitment that you will never abandon yourself.
