The word Baraka means blessing in multiple languages and is originally a Arabic word. The non-narrative documentary was published in 1992 and directed by cinemagrapher Ron Fricke. This documentary is quite the must-see. It was filmed in over twenty years in 23 countries on 152 different locations.
A sequel to documentary Baraka, Samsara, made by the same filmmakers, premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival.
